Esther A. Valdez, R.N., of the Houston Northwest Medical Center in Houston, TX.
became a MammaCare Specialist on May 24, 2001. Esther is a staff nurse in
The Breast Center where she assists with breast biopsies, provides patient
education, and hosts the Cancer Survival Support Group, Care Share and Be
Aware. She will use MammaCare to improve her own breast examination
skills as well as to teach it to women in the community.
Esther is married and has two grown daughters. She enjoys
reading, crafts, the art of Feng Shui and shopping for antiques. She also
has a dog named Xochi.
