T. Allyson O’Neal, B.S.N., O.C.N.,
Oncology Clinician Coordinator with the Penrose St. Francis Healthcare
System in Colorado Springs, CO, became a MammaCare Specialist on May 25,
2006. Allyson provides patient education, community outreach
to the underserved, and grant coordination. She
currently teaches BSE to her patients, the community at large, and women
who are participants in breast cancer prevention trials. She
performs clinical breast examinations as part of her outreach duties and
will use MammaCare to increase her CBE proficiency. She also will train
other providers. Allyson family consists of two
children, ages 14 and 11, in addition to dogs, cats, and chickens.
