| Kathleen Mott, R.N.C., B.S.N., N.P. joined the MammaCare family on July
2, 2003. Kathleen (Kate) is a nurse practitioner working with Sonoma County breast surgeon
Charles Elboim, M.D. In addition to a full range of breast care services, their practice
offers breast endoscopy. After performing a comprehensive clinical exam, appropriate
high-risk patients receive instruction in MammaCare based BSE prior to an evaluation for
duct fluid in preparation for endoscopy. Kate strongly believes that women well trained in
BSE become more comfortable and better equipped to monitor their own breast tissue. She
also assists health care providers to improve their clinical exam skills by serving as
faculty with the California Department of Health Services Clinical Breast Exam Proficiency
Course. Kate enjoys living in the wine country and has recently returned
to her long time passion of riding dressage. |
