Jean is a recognized leader in the field of oncology nursing. She has authored several book chapters and research articles and has served as principal investigator/project director on a number of substantial grants. She has participated in the National Action Plan on Breast Cancer and the National Cancer Institute Breast Cancer Peer Review Group. In recognition of her professional achievements, she has received a Congressional Tribute and a Program Achievement Award from the Metropolitan Washington Public Health Association.
