Judy C. Kneece is a certified oncology nurse specializing in breast cancer and, since January 1994, President of EduCare, Inc. She has trained more than 1,900 nurses internationally as breast health navigators and has consulted with some of the nation’s leading hospitals to develop their comprehensive breast health programs. Judy is the author of Your Breast Cancer Treatment Handbook, a patient’s guide through the breast cancer experience, and Helping Your Mate Face Breast Cancer, a book for their support partners. Both books are critically acclaimed by the Journal of the National Cancer Institute as essential for those supporting a recently diagnosed patient. She is also the author of numerous other booklets and pamphlets on benign and cancerous breast conditions and is the creator of a CD-ROM featuring 356 patient teaching sheets on breast health for clinics, hospitals and physicians offices. Judy has served as Secretary, and on the Advisory Board, for the National Consortium of Breast Centers and published more than 39 national articles on breast health management and psychosocial support of patients and their families. She serves as an advisor to the Department of Defense National Clinical Breast Care Project headquartered at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. |
