Nancy Dunn

Nancy first became a MammaCare Certified Specialist in 1999.  She recertified as both a MammaCare Certified Specialist and a MammaCare Certified Examiner in 2003.  That same year, Nancy assisted MammaCare in opening a regional training center at Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) in Portland, OR, MammaCare’s first regional training center in America’s west.  In 2004 she fostered collaboration between OHSU and Salem Hospital to establish a fully equipped dedicated MammaCare Training Center at Salem Hospital in Salem, her home town.  Breast cancer early detection through professional development has been her primary focus and clinical area of expertise for over twelve years as President and Consultant with PRO-Health Inc., Salem, OR. In that capacity, Ms. Dunn has extensive experience with the development and implementation of training methods and materials for: clinical standards and practice guidelines for breast and cervical cancer screening and the work-up of abnormal findings; clinical breast examination (CBE) core competencies; case management systems for timely and appropriate follow-up; peer coaching and quality improvement.   Ms. Dunn contracts with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection (NBCCEDP) program grantees to help assure quality outcomes for the women they serve.  Nancy is an experienced presenter and writer and does volunteer work in her home community on breast health awareness.
