Linda Canyon, O.T.R./L., a licensed
and registered occupational therapist at the San Juan Regional Medical
Center in Farmington, NM, became a MammaCare Specialist on September 25,
2006. Linda is responsible for postoperative rehabilitation of breast
cancer patients and is also a lymphadema specialist.
She will use MammaCare as the basis for a high school program in breast
self-examination. Linda also will assist with the MammaCare
CBE training program situated at the San Juan Regional Medical Center
and will teach BSE to her patients and other adult women.
Linda is married to a retired psychotherapist who is learning to fly.
They have two college aged sons and a daughter in high school. Her
hobbies are reading, running in the canyon, and mountain biking.
